A distinctly restrained nose only grudgingly reveals its combination of cool, pure and airy aromas of white orchard fruit, toasted nut/brown butter, crushed anise and a similar array of floral top notes. The bigger and richer, if less refined, medium-bodied flavors exude a more subtle minerality on the superbly long and even more complex finale that is also just a bit more tightly wound. This is terrific and I especially like the interplay of the fruit/acid/stone elements. A classic Lafon Charmes. ALLEN MEADOWS – Burghound

Clear pale lemon. This is at the moment less expressive than the Genevrières, Classical Charmes in the mouth with the energy that this vineyard has had chez Lafon since turning biodynamic. Perhaps a little less weight at the very back so Genevrières does just get the nod. JASPER MORRIS Inside Burgundy

The 2022 Meursault Les Charmes 1er Cru has an effervescent nose with yuzu and quince complementing the mineral-rich citrus fruit. The nose emits so much. The beautifully balanced palate has wonderful poise, yet there is real depth and power as it sashays toward its delineated and persistent finish. One of the best from the Domaine. Outstanding. NEAL MARTIN Vinous

The 2022 Meursault 1er Cru Charmes showed very well from barrel, and it's just as good in bottle. Wafting from the glass with notes of pear, waxy citrus rind, white flowers, freshly baked bread and honeycomb, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and concentrated, with an elegantly muscular profile and a long, precise finish.  WILLIAM KELLY  – The Wine Advocate
