The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is intended for those with little previous experience in the field of wine. Students will be introduced to the main styles of wines produced by key grape varieties and a specific number of regions. By the end of the course a student will know, simply by reading a wine label, what most wine tastes like. The course is suitable for people who are not employed in the drinks industry but wish to learn more about the subject. However, it is important that potential students appreciate that this is primarily a professional development course for the hospitality industry. The ONLINE course is based around a five-week, six-module online programme with a recommendation of 6 hours study per week to cover the online activities and read the relevant chapters in the textbook.
