Valdivieso Eclat Vigno Carignan Mourvedre 2019

The 2019 Éclat is a blend of Carignan with Mourvèdre, a dark, aromatic and deeply layered red that speaks of both Mediterranean heritage and Chilean terroir. In the glass, it shows a deep garnet colour with a lifted nose of blackberry, raspberry, dried herbs, leather, and a hint of garrigue-like spice.
The palate is vibrant and structured, with Carignan’s natural acidity giving the wine tension and Mourvèdre adding earthy complexity and savoury grip. Fine, firm tannins are well-integrated with flavours of plum, black cherry, crushed rock, and tobacco leaf. There's a rustic elegance here—wild but polished—and the finish is long, fresh, and mineral-laced.
A wine of real depth and character, Éclat is a standout in the modern Carignan revival movement—age-worthy, soulful, and a true expression of old-vine Maule.
