The 2019 Malbec Single Vineyard Altamira from the Uco Valley was aged for 12 months in four fifths new French barrels. Garnet red with a purple sheen in the glass. The aromatic profile delivers notes of cedar, sandalwood and hints of vanilla over a bed of ripe fruit, plum and thyme. Taut, broad and expansive with a pinch of salt, the creamy flow leads into a long finish in which oaky and herbal flavors stand out. JOAQUIN HIDALGO
