The 2 year maturation on lees has given the fruit a super fine structure built around the natural high acidity where the reductive environment gently coaxes the aromas and structure in the wine.
Beautifully spicy, aromatic, hints of almond and blossom and that terrific long finely textured palate. Lovely now but will cellar well.
Vessels: 2,000l Stockinger foudre. Vintage conditions: A late bud burst with ample (to say the least) spring rain that dried up at flowering in mid to late December. Some good summer rains that thankfully dried out for harvest. Our latest season so far.
