SPECIAL VALUE - From the Malakoff vineyard, sees skins for 22 days before maturation in old French oak puncheon. An opportunity to hear Matt Large wax lyrical about nebbiolo, region and clone, is a masterpiece in and of itself. '24 saw a return to warmer growing conditions, resulting in a classic and pure expression of nebbiolo. Rose petal, orange rind, red cherry and raspberry with earthy savoury notes, leather, terracotta and bay. Excellent fruit, excellent structure, beautiful wine to drink. Flavours of sweet cherries and pomegranate, twiggy herbs, strawberries, orange peel and assorted spices. Ultra fine-grained tannin.
