Teacher-turned-winemaker Lindsay McCall has an absolutely exceptional gift for winemaking across a range of styles… The wines have an unmatched level of success in the wine shows and competitions that Paringa Estate is able to enter, the limitation being the relatively small production of the top wines in the portfolio. Son Jamie joined the winemaking team in '12, after completing winemaking and viticulture at the University of Adelaide. He was put in charge of winemaking at Paringa Estate in '17 following 5 home vintages and one in Oregon, focusing on pinot noir. JAMES HALLIDAY

I think 2025 is shaping up to be an excellent vintage for Mornington.

White fruit, citrus, spice and cashew. It sports such clean lines with a light grip to texture, there’s some fresh pineapple in the mix, but in a pleasing juicy way. It has intensity, balance and great length. In short it’s a top vintage for this wine and a thoroughly lovely. (95) GARY WALSH, The Wine Front
