Details

Great delight here. Medium weight but with darker fruit spectrum scents and flavours, plum, choc-liquorice, cassis and lavender with faint mintiness and dill/fennel notes in the mix. The palate is supple, smooth, rolls beautifully and long. There's a sense of concentration but refinement, lots of graphite minerally notes and light, wet pebble notes. It's a delight to drink. A plump, glossy and nicely reductive, mid-weighted expression of shiraz that is crafted to be drunk with imminence and joy. Violet, purple pastille, iodine and a hint of stemmy bitterness. Yet this does not dissuade from the drinking pleasure but rather, imparts a lick of savoriness and snap to the exuberant finish. NED GOODWIN
