A finely detailed nose of spiced nectarines and freshly baked apple pie mix with fennel and wet stone aromas. The palate slowly awakens, leading with white nectarines and whisper of nougat and brioche. Its nervy framework is draped with articulate and fleshy fruit, curtailed by a gentle cage of chalky phenolics that signs off with a lip-smacking piquancy. Buy this by the crate, it's astonishingly delicious and drinks far above its price point. GABRIELLE POY

    Notes on previous release:
This is bright and febrile at one year of age, with fresh cut white nectarine and lemon pith making way for almond, Bosc pear, lemon curd, subtle powdery red apple, a whisper of honeycomb and emergent wafts of cinnamon spice. What starts as a taut aromatic aesthetic unfurls to become attractively balanced. The palate follows suits in its tensile, high-toned and mineral feel, though there's lovely buoyant texture to wrap around white peach, grapefruit pith, red apple and Meyer lemon with some cinnamon in support. A fine sheath of chalky phenolics carry some green almond bitterness through the finish, and the acidity is great here, fanning the wine out through the back palate to good length. I like this for its vim and vigour. Drink from 2025-2036. TOM KLINE, insideburgundy.com
