  1. Chateau d'Yquem 2010 375ml
    Chateau d'Yquem 2010 375ml
Picked predominantly over 10 days from October 14, the 2010 d'Yquem has 141gms/L residual sugar and pH 3.80. It is a slow-burner, the nose understated at first but unfurling with each passing moment with subtle scents of freshly sliced apricots, Clementine, clear honey and white flowers. There is an underlying minerality that really defines this bouquet. The palate is similar to the nose, revealing hidden facets with almost each swirl of the glass - orange blossom, limestone, white peach and honeysuckle. This is such a precise d'Yquem; it is after you have swallowed the wine that one comprehends just how brilliant it is. (98+) WINE ADVOCATE

PRE ARRIVAL - DUE EARLY 2022
Containing 135 grams per liter of residual sugar, the pale lemon-gold colored 2016 d'Yquem leaps from the glass with honeyed apricots, pineapple, green mango, crushed rocks, candied ginger, coriander seed and citrus peel with hints of orange blossom. The palate is very tightly wound, vibrant and refreshing with layer upon layer of minerals and spices, finishing with epic poise and persistence. (98+) WINE ADVOCATE

  3. Coutet La Chartreuse de Coutet 2015 375 mL
Coutet La Chartreuse de Coutet 2015 375 mL

Quite a smokey nose but a lot of ripe mango flavors, too. This balances a rich texture and bright acidity very nicely. The finish is long for a second wine. JAMES SUCKLING.

Plenty of botrytis adding marmalade and exotic fruits to the engaging mix of citrus oil, stone fruits and fresh flowers. I feel like there is a little more Sauv Blanc here, than may be typical, due to this exotic, tropical fruit and ginger flower component, I couldn't find the cepage though, so just a guess. It's not overly sweet, but there is enough thickness and viscosity to leave no doubt as to what you are drinking. The acidity plays its all important role in keeping things upbeat, fresh and clean. The finish is impressively long and carried by the sugar while being enlivened by the acid. Excellent and supper value. ROSCOE

  4. Le Tertre du Lys dOr 2019
Le Tertre du Lys dOr 2019

Shimmers medium gold. Vibrant notes of toffee, ginger and baked pineapple aromas waft from the glass. It's still incredibly youthful with touches of honey starting to emerge adding another layer to the luscious palate. Spiced nectarines mix with subtle hints of marmalade and umami notes of white button mushrooms in the mouth, alongside ginger, toffee and apple tarte tatin flavours - it's intriguing and incredibly delicious. The finish is mouthwatering, a trickle of acidity cleanses on its way out. This generously sized bottle of Sauternes should be shared lavishly with friends and a plate of cheese. Don't hesitate here. 5. Lions de Suduiraut 2019 375ml
    Lions de Suduiraut 2019 375ml
The 2019 Lions de Suduiraut is a fabulous second wine. Passionfruit, white flowers, ginger, spice and apricot are all beautifully lifted. An emphasis on freshness and mid-weight intensity works so well here. The Lions can be enjoyed now or cellared. It's absolutely delicious today...ANTONIO GALLONI, vinous.com

Rich and quite nuanced on the nose - honey, caramel and orange. Unctuous and rich on the palate, this is creamy and thick, a richer style but still with real elegance and power. I like the texture and weight and drive of flavours. Feels quite a complete wine, everything in balance. A little spicy, bitter character comes through towards the finish as well which is quite appealing. One to seek out. GEORGINA HINDLE, decanter.com
