Pre-Arrival, wines arriving end of April/early May

The 2024 Rosso di Montalcino, tasted from tank, shows ripe cherry and strawberry complicated by dried herbs and crushed stone. This is pure elegance, with seamless textures, bright wild berry fruits and tantalizing acidity. Hints of blood orange amass toward the close. The 2024 finishes potent but impossibly fresh, with amazing depth and a raspberry concentration. This gorgeous Rosso could easily be described as a baby Brunello. ERIC GUIDO
