What a breathtakingly beautiful nose of apricot this amazing dry riesling has! Staggering power and intensity, yet it remains so bright and invigorating as it charges off across your palate like a rocket heading for the outer solar system (99) STUART PIGOTT, James Suckling

The 2021 Riesling Hochheimer Hölle Grosses Gewächs, from calcareous clay soils, portrays the ripe juiciness of yellow peach flesh, tempered in 2021 with citric verve. A mere flicker of smokiness still speaks of reduction, but this is a promise. The palate is smooth but absolutely pervaded by lemon and its inherent zestiness. There is something to draw you deeper into the soil, only to reward you with abundant lemon-framed golden, ripe, juicy fruit. Beautiful balance, tempered generosity and zesty verve, all is here in 2021. Wow. (Bone-dry) ANNE KREBHIEHL MW, Vinous
