A great masterpiece of dry riesling filigree! Totally crystalline and super-silky, this has a truly extraordinary texture on the palate. How can a wine be this stony, yet also offer a ravishing spectrum of exotic fruit and floral aromas. Staggering finesse at the extremely long finish. (98) STUART PIGOTT, James Suckling

The 2021 Riesling Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg Grosses Gewächs is still shy on the nose. The palate immediately presents the flowing juiciness of melon complemented by lime and grapefruit. With that sense of citric intensity and completeness, this aromatic interchange of pith, flesh, juice and zest is dramatically, emphatically played out on the palate across an enticing spectrum of citrus peel that covers that green-orange spectrum, leaving out yellow notions altogether. Stony, pure, incisive and profound, the 2021 is absolutely aromatic, citric, elegant and intense. (Bone-dry) ANNE KREBHIEHL MW, Vinous
