The 2017 Barbera d'Alba (with 12,000 bottles made) shows a tight and compact expression that releases lots of generous fruit, mostly blackberry and summer cherry, especially prominent in this hot vintage. In fact, this native grape shows its best results in the warm growing seasons. Sweet candied cherry and blackberry preserves brighten the palate (the wine only sees contact with stainless steel).
