From the old, and highly revered, Schlossberg parcel in Lorch planted in the 1950s. The steep slopes are dense with grey slate and quartzite that store the daytime sunrays, providing warmth to the vines at night.
A dazzling diamond of an off-dry riesling. Exceptionally focused and slatey. Totally crystalline and dangerously energetic. Super-bright red cherries, wild strawberries, lemon balm and parsley. Such a breathtaking finish that you feel glad to be alive. This masterpiece is just beginning what will surely be an extremely long life. From organically grown grapes. (97) STUART PIGGOT

The 2024 Lorcher Schlossberg Riesling is deep, concentrated, aromatic, and mineral (or stony) on the nose, which is fresh, savory and intensely fruity. Round, elegant and balanced on the palate, this is a delicate, crystalline, persistently salty, aromatic and juicy Riesling with fully ripe fruit, well-integrated fruit sweetness (25.4 grams per liter), ripe but lively acidity and high extract. 11% stated alcohol.  STEPHAN REINHARDT
