1941-planted semillon from the Magnolia vineyard in Vine Vale. Brett Grocke is making some smashing wines of late. They feel comfortable in their own skin; unforced and undeniably great drinking. Slinky, honeysuckle-blushed citrus fruits with underlying tones of pressed clover blossom, cold white tea, lemon drop, crushed quartz, chicken bone broth and lower volumes of lanolin and fennel tops.
