Naturalistic blackberry fruit aromas, with no overt oak. It's medium-bodied, with no great concentration but a good sense of freshness and precision. Gently serrated Cornas tannins are present and enjoyably textural. Well balanced, classic and precise. 20% whole bunch, 20% new oak. MATT WALLS, Decanter

The entry level release from this terrific estate is the 2021 Cornas Prémices. It showed well and has the vintage's juicy, crunchy style in its darker red and blue fruits as well as flower, peppery herbs, and a kiss of classic Cornas iron and subtle bloody character. Medium-bodied and balanced, with integrated acidity, it's impeccably made and will have 7-8 years of prime drinking. JEB DUNNCUK

A stylish version, with refinement and polish. Shows silky, pure notes of warm spices, plum and fig paste on a glossy, well-integrated palate framed by a wave of crushed iron. The finish is rounded out with savory bay leaf and toasted apple wood elements. Drink now through 2032. KRISTEN BIELER, Wine Spectator
