Bulman Wines Rose 2024

If I'm not mistaken there's a little more colour in this wine this vintage, though it leans towards a more orange tint of pink. Lovely smelling wine; and it goes the way I like my rosato, not too much of any one thing, discreet, and quite complex. I'm thinking cherry, watermelon, blood orange, spice, a musky floral perfume, fennel tips. Or whatever you think really, I'm just saying it smells good. It's soft and balanced, acidity sits just right in the wine, something of a pear skin grip, with a finish of excellent length and subtle amaro twang. It's an excellent wine. Could twist my arm for 95 points even. GARY WASLH
SPECIAL VALUE - There's not much more you could ask for in a classically styled rosé - from the brilliant rose gold hue, the lifted aromatics, textural slosh of the palate and crisply vibrant and pithily detailed conclusion, with rose and orange blossom scents and good-time feelings trailing oh-so long. The vintage has gifted depth and intensity without overt weight. It's complex, too. Pink grapefruit, musk, rosy florals, cinnamon, fresh pomegranate, watermelon, cut fennel and blood orange all feature in a headily lifted expression that is a pure joy to drink.
