The 2024 is a one-way train to flavour town. TOOT, TOOT! ALL ABOARD!
A whiff of struck match, savoury, umami notes roll throughout the wine, aromatically and in the mouth. Just a lick of wood, but that oak is measured against all the rest of the wine with impeccable balance. An abundance of flavour, just so much on offer, it’s hard not to get caught up in the power and personality of the fruit as it hits your palate with proper impact. Finishes with a flush of salted grapefruit along a distinctly powerful, slowly tapering and marvellously fresh finish. This is a new high-water mark for this wine and another classic in the making from Adrian Rodda. ROSCOE
