As a leading Australian WSET Approved Program Provider, and the only provider of Level 4 in Victoria, we are aware of the demand for this leading qualification. In response to this demand, we offer a new two-year Diploma course intake annually, with lectures commencing mid-year.

Diploma Overview
The Diploma qualification is designed to give specialist knowledge of the principal wines of the world combined with commercial factors and a thorough system for the professional evaluation of wines. The qualification will prepare those who are required to make managerial decisions, interpret information and have a thorough understanding of market trends and requirements in a variety of trade and industry sectors. The Diploma aims to provide specialist product knowledge and understanding of the global and domestic markets for wines and develop candidates’ ability to present information in a format suitable for business.

The Diploma is viewed universally as the stepping-stone to the Master of Wine qualification.
Qualification Objective
Provide expert knowledge of the principal wines of the world combined with commercial factors and a thorough system for the professional evaluation of wines.
Who It's Aimed At
People employed in the wine industry required to make managerial decisions, interpret information and have a thorough understanding of market trends and requirements, leaders in their business and industry.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations of confirmed places are accepted up to 10 working days prior to the start of the course. An administration fee of $150 plus the full cost of the study materials supplied will be deducted and the remainder of the course fee refunded to the payee.
If a confirmed course booking is cancelled during the ten working days prior to the start of the course, or at a time after the start of the course, no refund or transfer of the course fees will be made.
Deferral details are included in the Diploma Handbook, which will be issued upon acceptance.
Duration
Diploma is run over two years. There are a total of 115 teaching contact hours plus assessments and recommended 10 hours per week of self-managed learning.
Time
A series of one, two, or three day blocks (9.30am-5pm) over eighteen months, with final assessments over the remaining six-month period. Most sessions are held on Mondays to Wednesday to simplify the schedule of those working or those from interstate.
Units Covered
There are six units of differing durations and credits, all of which are to be passed to achieve the Diploma Qualification. 1) Wine Production, 2) Wine Business, 3) Light Wines of the World, 4) Sparkling Wines, 5) Fortified Wines and 6) Independent Research Assignment.

We are fortunate to have two Masters of Wine as the principal educators of the WSET Diploma: Meg Brodtmann MW and Kate McIntyre MW.
Adeline Zimmerman (DipWSET), Ed Merrison (DipWSET), Nicola Reid (DipWSET), and Nicole Bilson (DipWSET) complete the education team.
Price
The Diploma has a base cost of $11,865. This will be charged in four blocks, otherwise a periodic payment option is available but does incur an overall cost of $500.
The cost of the diploma does not include masterclasses, exam re-sits, feedback tests, or requests for enquiry & feedback etc.

Successful completion of WSET Level 3 Award in Wines.

Introductory Session
There will be a two-hour introduction to the course for enrolled students, outlining expectations, teaching objectives, and resources. It will be held on a Saturday in March or April (TBC), from 10am-12pm. This is optional but recommended to meet educators and fellow students.
