The WSET Level 3 Award in Wines qualification is designed to give a thorough understanding of the principal wines of the world and their commercial importance in the world's liquor market.
The qualification will assist those who are required to make professional evaluations of wines and spirits with regard to their commercial value. Holders of the Level 3 Award will be able to describe the characteristics of the principal wines and spirits of the world and give information on the key factors influencing style, quality and value.
It is important that potential students appreciate that this is primarily a professional development course for the drinks industry and is approached in that way by our tutors, however it is also suitable for people who are not employed in the drinks' industry but have a keen interest in wine.

Please note that the WSET Level 2 Award in Wine is a strict pre-requisite for enrolment in the Level 3 course.
Once you have paid in full for your WSET Level 3 course, you can collect your study pack from Prince Wine Store or relevant satellite location noted in your welcome letter.
Cancellation Policy
If, for unforeseen circumstances, the course has to be cancelled you will be informed prior to the commencement date and refunded your money OR booked into a future course. Please note, if you've collected your books, their cost will be deducted from the refund.
If a student cancels their registration within 72 hours of the course commencing a 20% cancellation fee may be charged.
Courses require a minimum of 8 students to run.
DURATION & STUDY REQUIREMENTS
30 hours of tuition and a 2-and-a-half-hour exam, over 10 weeks
We recommend that students also complete 6 hours of private study a week as a minimum.
TIME & VENUE
15 x 2-hour sessions. Consisting of 9 x Monday evening (6-8pm) sessions, and two intensive Saturdays from 9.30am to 5.30pm.
Classes are held at Prince Wine Store in South Melbourne, as well as our satellite sites, Prince Wine Store (Sydney), Moorooduc Estate (Mornington Peninsula), Boat O'Craigo (Yarra Valley), Launceston, Perth, and Brewlab (Hobart).

Non-attendance of registered exam: $100
Exam re-registration is equivalent to the re-sit fees.

PRE-REQUISITES
It is a strict pre-requisite that students complete WSET Level 2 Award in Wine prior to attempting Level 3.
ASSESSMENT
A multiple-choice paper of fifty questions: pass mark 55%
A short-written answer paper of four questions: pass mark 55%
A tasting examination: Correctly identify two wines and produce a written analysis using WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting.
