The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is intended for those with little previous experience in the field of wine. Students will also be introduced to the main styles of wines produced by key grape varieties and a specific number of regions. By the end of the course a student will know, simply by reading a wine label, what most wine tastes like.
The course is suitable for people who are not employed in the drinks industry but wish to learn more about the subject. However, it is important that potential students appreciate that this is primarily a professional development course for the hospitality industry and is approached in that way by our tutors.
Want a quick overview on what's covered prior to jumping in? Check out this great video by our educator Ed Merrison (Vininspo!). Don't forget to also read the specification, which is linked further down the page.
Once you have paid in full for your WSET Level 2 course, you can collect your study pack from the Prince Wine Store or relevant satellite location, noted in your welcome letter.
Cancellation policy:
If, for unforeseen circumstances, the course has to be cancelled you will be informed prior to the commencement date and refunded your money OR booked into a future course. Please note, if you've collected your books, their cost will be deducted from the refund.
