Weekly
on Tuesday evenings, 6-8pm from 2 June to 28 July
2026 (Exam on this day).
The
WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is intended for those with little previous
experience in the field of wine. Students will also be introduced to the main
styles of wines produced by key grape varieties and a specific number of
regions. By the end of the course a student will know, simply by reading a wine
label, what most wines taste like.
The
course is very suitable for people who are not employed in the drinks industry
but wish to learn more about the subject. However, it is important that
potential students appreciate that this is primarily a professional development
course for the hospitality industry and is approached in that way by our
tutors.
The
course will be run in an weekly format over nine weeks at Moorooduc
Estate, 501 Derril Rd, Moorooduc, 3933.
There
will be an exam in the final week. You will receive your results and a
digital certificate within 6-12 weeks of completing the course.
There
is a $185 fee to re-sit the exam should you not pass and a $100 fee is you do
not turn up for the exam, plus re-registration fees equal to the re-sit
fee.
If
a student cancels their enrolment within 72 hours of the course
commencing, an 80% refund will be provided. This course requires a minimum
of 8 people to run.
The
course specification can be found here.
