Brendan and Laura Carter have strung their star to fiano, nebbiolo and nero dAvola, purchasing these varieties from the Adelaide Hills, Polish Hill River and Riverland. In 2012 they were able to retro-fit their Adelaide Hills winery into an old, disused apple cool store in Gumeracha; the economy of doing this, and sourcing the grape varieties as they have, allows them to achieve their aim of making approachable wines for reasonable prices with a philosophy of minimal intervention along the way.
