We were really impressed when this crossed our tasting table recently. Turkey Flat have turned out a rich and textural wine with wonderful energy and spark. Not always an easy feat with the likes of these Rhone whites but this is a raging success.
Subtle notes of grilled nuts and a medley of yellow and white stone fruits punctuated by a stony minerality and a sprinkle of white pepper. The viognier is used sparingly here to add a little exotic apricot fruit and a bit of plush richness to both the palate and the nose. Medium bodied with nice concentrated fruit flavours that sing with a zip of acidity keeping it fresh and thoroughly inviting.
