Trediberri
The three guys of Berri - Nicola Oberto and father Federico Oberto plus Vladimiro Rambaldi - and a vineyard in the hamlet of Berri of La Morra, producing wines with enthusiasm and with a focus on terroir.
Their 8 hectares, entirely within the confines of La Morra are planted to Nebbiolo, in the Crus of Berri and Rocche dell’Annunziata (owned) and Capalot (leased).
The Barbera comes from their own vineyards close to the winery within Borgata Torriglione plus a small percentage from an old, leased vineyard in Berri. Most of the vineyards in Berri were planted quite recently at high density. The Rocche dell’Annunziata vineyard however is 40 years old and the spacing between vines is more traditional: 2.80 m per 1.1 m. Trediberri only use organic compounds in the vineyard and since 2012 the Trediberr winery has been certified by CCPB srl, Bologna as in conversion to organic. SALLY MCGILL
