Thompson Estate

Cardiologist Peter Thompson planted the first vines at Thompson Estate in 1997, inspired by his and his familys shareholdings in the Pierro and Fire Gully vineyards, and by visits to many of the worlds premium wine regions. The vineyard is planted to cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, semillon, pinot noir and malbec. Thompson Estate wines are made by Bob Cartwright (former Leeuwin Estate winemaker) at its state-of-the-art winery. JAMES HALLIDAY
