The Cabernets family as they are collectively known; Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec all have their spiritual home in Bordeaux. While the Bordelaise produce the most expensive and perhaps the longest lived Cabernets in the world, but are they the greatest? Australia, New Zealand and California all have established reputations for producing great Cabernet Sauvignon and blends, but how do they stack up against the Bordelaise?
This Saturday we will pitch the classic Bordeaux wines against those of the New World in the ultimate Cabernet showdown. Who will win?....you decide!
