Tenuta di Biserno
The brainchild of Marchese Lodovico Antinori, Tenuta di Biserno is a 90 hectare estate set in Western Tuscany, in the coastal area of the Upper Marrema. It lies among the hills of Bibbona and borders the Bolgheri DOC. Lodovico Antinori chose this particular terroir because it is “very similar to Saint Emilion and Pomerol”. It logically follows that the estate would planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot, on soils comprising of sand and silt with a high percentage of clay. The wines, produced with renown consultant Michel Rolland are bold, intense and detailed in the Super Tuscan style and include the flagship blend Biserno and the “second wine” of the estate, Il Pino di Biserno. negociantsaustralia.com
