Talisman Wines

Kim Robinson (and wife Jenny) began the development of their vineyard in 2000, and now have cabernet, shiraz, malbec, zinfandel, chardonnay, riesling and sauvignon blanc. Kim says that after eight frustrating years of selling grapes to Evans and Tate and Wolf Blass, we decided to optimise the vineyard and attempt to make quality wines. The measure of their success was the award of at least one gold medal for each of the wines submitted up to and including the Geographe Wine Show 10. They say this could not have been achieved without the assistance of vineyard manager Victor Bertola, and winemaker Peter Stanlake. JAMES HALLIDAY
