Details

Deep colour with a good tint of purple on the edges; there's a hint of volatile acidity on the first aroma, giving it a metallic note, while the palate is full-bodied and very firmly structured, the tannins ripe and mouth-coating. The wine's concentration and power swallow up the VA which I suspect will become less and less noticeable as it ages, in the manner of the early Granges. Well worth cellaring a few years.
