Vaughn Dell and Linda Morice purchased the former Golders Vineyard in 2005 (originally planted 1994). More recent vineyard plantings include 13 clones of pinot noir and eight clones of chardonnay, as well as a small amount of gruner veltliner. The new vineyard is close-planted, ranging from 5100 vines per hectare for the gruner veltliner to 10250 vines per hectare for the pinot noir and chardonnay. The wines are made with a minimalist approach: natural ferments, basket-pressing, extended lees ageing and minimal fining and filtration. JAMES HALLIDAY
