Sasanokawa Shuzo’s
Sasanokawa Shuzo’s is a craft sochu, sake and spirits distiller and the only only whisky distiller in the northeast region of Japan. It would be fair to say that Sasanokawa Shuzo is praised as a rising star in spirits industry. Based in Koriyama, Fukushi, and are one of the oldest sake breweries in northeast Japan.
Sasanokawa Shuzo’s sake and shochu making dates back all the way to 1765. In 1946 they decided to dive into the whisky making market where their experience and expertise gave them the ability to take on large rivals like Nikka and Suntory.
