San Giusto

 The San Giusto estate is located in the Gaiole sub-zone of the Chianti hills and is currently owned by the fastidious and methodical Martini di Cigali family. The vineyards occupy the steeper areas of the estate and the soils are typically (for Gaiole) "mean" and thin. The combination of this terroir  and the quality control in the vineyard produces wines that are always redolent of red berry fruit and fragrant dried herbs and have a certain austerity, however this is underpinned by a deeper lurking power of fruit.

The wines from this estate are usually only offered to those who have purchased them in the past but this year we have a little left over and it would seem appropriate to offer it to as many customers as possible. PWS
