Ruinart
The oldest sparkling Champagne house, established in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart, nephew of Dom Thierry Ruinart, who was friend and confidant of Dom Perignon. A Chardonnay-influenced house, Ruinart is best known for Dom Ruinart, but its basic 'R' de Ruinart cuvées are all too often overlooked, yet represents amazing value. TOM STEVENSON
Ruinart wines are Chardonnay-based, light, fruity and elegant.
