Riecine

Riecine first came to prominence under the ownership of the late John Dunkley and his very young (at the time) winemaker, Sean O'Callaghan. The compact and beautiful estate in Gaiole quickly gained a reputation for producing modern chianti classico which emphasised pure dark cherry fruit and a plush texture and although modern always maintained their sense of regional typicity.

Today, the estate now has over 7 tre biccherie on the mantelpiece and is one of the best estates by any measure. The estate is owned by American, Gary Bowman with a small percentage owned by O'Callaghan. The chianti classico in 2008 is another superb effort. MICHAEL, Prince Wine Store
