Precipice Wines
After 20 years of selling, tasting, drinking and making wine (not to mention caring for two little ones!) a long desire to make my own wines has been achieved. During vintage 2011 I came to realise that making my own wines, under my own label, was simply something I needed to do - single site, small batch wines that reflect the geographical diversity of the Yarra Valley. Having worked alongside such great winemakers as David Bicknell and Adrian Rodda, for over a decade, I have been privileged to gain a deep understanding for the art of winemaking. This amazing experience has been the catalyst for Precipice Wines. MARTY SINGH
Marty Singh says that after 20 years of selling, tasting, drinking and making wine the temptation to start his own brand was just too strong, although the production means that it is still very much a part-time job. His practical skills were learned over a decade of working alongside winemakers such as David Bicknell and Adrian Rodda. The first vintage, in 2012, was of a Shiraz grown on the Hyde Park Vineyard in the Coldstream area, backed up with the 13 production of the same wine, coupled with Chardonnay from the Willow Lake Vineyard in the Upper Yarra Valley.
