Enrico Scavino and his daughters Elisa and Enrica stand out from their peers for their never-ending search for quality. Scavino is one of the great, established families in Piedmont. Enrico Scavino, along with his daughters Enrica and Elisa, have built quite an empire over the last few decades. It seems like every time I visit, the family has acquired a new choice parcel. As always, the Scavino Barolos are defined by their textural richness and opulence. Enrico, with his two daughters, Elisa and Enrica, carry fourth an incredible family legacy from their home turf in Castiglione Falletto, crafting Barolo of immense presence, power, and transparency. One of the key producers in the modern era of Barolo, they now sit in a refined middle ground between modern and traditional styles that are hard to pin down but beautiful to behold.

That move away from oak influence and extraction to wines with site-transparency and, precision-driven style has been wonderful to watch, and continues to propel into the top tier of producers in Barolo today. If that weren’t enough to convince you, the trio have secured some of the most revered sites both inside the Castiglione Falletto borders as well as Barolo, La Morra, Serralunga, and Monforte d'Alba. These are wines that today are extremely collectable yet remain incredibly affordable given the relentless pursuit of quality exacted at the estate today by Enrico and his team. 

We have brand ambassador Mattia Benevello, the global ambassador, joining us for an evening where he will take us through these wonderful wines, including a range of current releases and back vintages from a number of their cru bottlings.
