The Inca earth goddess who brings fruit to the vine and joy to the world. Pacha Mama, is a small family owned wine company established in 2010. Whilst new to the market, it's new in name only. Made by Pacha's new wine making duo Nina Stocker and Callie Jemmeson, these wines are a knockout.
This fruit was sourced from the Full Moon Vineyard in the sub region of Gladysdale in the Upper Yarra Valley. Planted in 2001 on chocolate coloured volcanic soils on a gentle west facing slope. Meticulously managed and tendered to by Simon Harte. Cropping at 2.5-3T/acre they have been working closely with Simon for the past 7 years to get the best from this single vineyard.
Crunchy red berries, subtle spicy oak and earthy undertones. Has that Yarra underbrush and Autumn leaves thing going on backed by those fresh red currant/raspberry fruit. Medium-bodied with loads of juicy fresh strawberries and cranberries layered with fine silky tannins and crisp acidity. What a banger!
