Moores Hill

Planting of the Moores Hill Estate vineyard (jointly owned by winemaker Julian Allport with Fiona and Lance Weller) began in 1997 and progressively expanded,and now consists of pinot noir, chardonnay and riesling, with a very small amount of cabernet sauvignon and merlot. The vines are located on a northeast-facing hillside, 5km from the Tamar River and 30km from the Bass Strait. The cellar door is built from timber found on the property. JAMES HALLIDAY
