Merricks Creek

The pinot noir vineyard established by Peter and Georgina Parker has consistently produced grapes of exceptional quality. It is planted to a sophisticated collection of pinot noir clones, and includes a small planting at an ultra-high density of 500 mm spacing, which produces the Close Planted Pinot Noir. Gary Farr, the notable Geelong-based viticulturist and winemaker, was retained on a consultancy basis to advise on all aspects of the establishment and subsequent training of the vineyard. Son Nick Farr has been the winemaker, the third part of a notably successful operation.  JAMES HALLIDAY
