Here we go again! The Tour Survival dozen is back! This is all you need to survive one of the most gruelling races in the world, all in one box.

Now. We want to say that this year was tough. Tougher than usual, that's for sure. The normal tour router has circumvented several key stages it normally traverses, which has certainly made it a challenge. But we love a good challenge here at Prince. So, just like the gruelling mountain climbs the riders are about to endure, we just buckled down and went to that (not so) arduous task of finding the coolest beverages we could for you to enjoy.

This year saw a little Spanish jaunt, which has meant a couple of fun things, including a brilliant little Spanish vermouth because why not!? Let's have some fun if we are doing this thing. We have also included a Genepi-infused beer from the legendary Mont Blanc brewery in the French Alps. We certainly are keeping you on your toes this year.

Otherwise its 12 stages of the 2026 Tour matched with 12 delicious drinks. Whether it's climbing the steep mountain slopes of the Savoie or printing through Bordeaux or even team trials in Barcelona, you can watch along and enjoy something tasty as riders make their way through the four corners of France.  It makes for some pretty interesting drinking, and this year could be one of the most interesting we have put together yet.

There are juicy Northern Rhones, classic Bordeaux, slippery Alsace treats, and everything in between. We've tried to capture something a little special from each region the riders go through,  and this year has been a delight to put together.

Yzaguirre Vermouth Clásico Blanco

STAGE 1 – Team Time Trial – Barcelona to Barcelona – 184.2 km

Founded in 1884 just outside Barcelona, Yzaguirre is one of Spain's great traditional vermouth houses. For well over a century the family has specialised in aromatised wines, blending carefully selected base wines with a closely guarded mix of herbs, spices and botanicals. While vermouth has enjoyed a worldwide renaissance in recent years, Yzaguirre has quietly continued producing some of Spain's benchmark examples, remaining a favourite in bars and homes across Catalonia.

Although the Tour quickly leaves Spain for France, it seems only fitting to begin with one of Barcelona's great aperitifs. Built on a white wine base and infused with more than 80 herbs and botanicals, the Blanco balances gentle sweetness with citrus peel, alpine herbs and subtle spice. Served simply over ice with a slice of citrus and a bowl of salty olives, it is one of the world's great pre-dinner drinks and the perfect way to toast the Grand Départ.

Gramona Ca la Mar 2023

STAGE 2 – Hilly – Tarragona to Barcelona – 168.5 km

While best known as one of Spain's greatest traditional sparkling wine producers, Gramona has become equally respected for its still wines. Based in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia in the heart of Penedès, the family has been making wine since the mid-1800s and today represents the fifth generation. Their philosophy centres on organic and biodynamic farming, meticulous vineyard work and allowing indigenous varieties to express the unique Mediterranean landscape. Few producers have done more to elevate the reputation of Penedès.

Ca la Mar is a wonderfully Mediterranean white, blending local varieties more commonly associated with the region's sparkling wines. Fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and purity, it captures the vibrant citrus, herbal and saline character that defines coastal Catalonia. Bright, energetic and effortlessly drinkable, it's the perfect way to kick off the Tour, echoing the opening Spanish stages before the race crosses into France.

M. Chapoutier Bila-Haut Côtes du Roussillon Villages 2021

STAGE 4 – Flat – Carcassonne to Foix – 181.9 km

Michel Chapoutier hardly needs an introduction. One of the Rhône Valley's great names, the family has become internationally renowned for producing benchmark wines from Hermitage through to Australia. While the northern Rhône remains the spiritual home of the estate, Chapoutier recognised the enormous potential of neighbouring Roussillon decades ago, investing heavily in old vineyards and helping redefine perceptions of the region. Today the Bila-Haut wines remain some of France's great value bottles.

Drawn from old bush vines rooted in the rocky schist and gneiss soils of the Agly Valley, Bila-Haut combines Grenache, Syrah and Carignan into a wine that beautifully balances Mediterranean warmth with remarkable freshness. Traditional fermentation and restrained oak maturation allow the fruit and rugged landscape to take centre stage. Rustic charm meets polish, making this one of the benchmarks for affordable southern French reds.

Côté Lavande Malbec 2025

STAGE 5 – Flat – Lannemezan to Pau – 158.3 km

Côté Lavande is part of a new wave of producers showcasing the incredible value and diversity of south-west France. Rather than chasing heavy, rustic styles, the focus is on freshness, varietal purity and drinkability while remaining true to the region's heritage. It's proof that Malbec's spiritual home still has plenty to offer beyond the famous wines of Cahors.
Produced from vineyards influenced by the warm days and cool nights of south-west France, this Malbec is all about vibrant fruit and approachability. Gentle extraction and careful handling preserve the variety's floral lift and silky texture while avoiding excessive weight. The result is exactly what you want from modern French Malbec—plenty of polish, supple dark fruit and enough freshness to keep you coming back for another glass.

Château Poitevin 2018

STAGE 7 – Flat – Hagetmau to Bordeaux – 175.1 km

Château Poitevin has long been one of those under-the-radar Médoc estates that consistently punches above its weight. Family owned for generations, the estate farms sustainably across gravel-rich soils ideally suited to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Their philosophy is refreshingly classical: careful vineyard work, sensible extraction and patient élevage produce Bordeaux that offers authenticity without the grand cru price tag.

The superb 2018 vintage has now settled into a lovely drinking window, allowing both fruit and savoury complexity to shine. Matured in French oak before extended bottle ageing, it delivers everything we love about properly cellared Left Bank Bordeaux. As the Tour rolls into Bordeaux, there's hardly a more fitting companion than a mature Médoc enjoyed on a cool winter's evening.

Chai Saint Etienne Coteaux du Quercy 2023

STAGE 8 – Flat – Périgueux to Bergerac – 180.4 km

Chai Saint Etienne represents the growing excitement surrounding France's lesser-known appellations. This small family domaine champions the historic vineyards of Coteaux du Quercy, an appellation tucked between Cahors and Fronton that remains largely undiscovered outside France. Traditional farming, low yields and a commitment to regional varieties underpin everything they do.
Cabernet Franc leads the blend, supported by Merlot and local varieties that add both charm and individuality. Fermented in stainless steel with minimal intervention, the wine is all about crunchy red fruit, gentle spice and rustic appeal. It's exactly the sort of bottle that reminds you why exploring France's forgotten regions can be so rewarding.

Cave de Tain Syrah Premier Note 2023

STAGE 11 – Flat – Vichy to Nevers– 161.3 km

Founded in 1933, Cave de Tain is one of France's great cooperative success stories. Based in Tain-l'Hermitage, the winery brings together hundreds of growers farming some of the Northern Rhône's most prestigious vineyards, including Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph and Cornas. Through continual investment in vineyard quality and winemaking, Cave de Tain has established itself as one of the benchmark producers of the region, consistently delivering wines that overperform at every level.

Premier Note is Cave de Tain's introduction to cool-climate Syrah, sourced primarily from vineyards surrounding Crozes-Hermitage and the northern Rhône. Fermented in stainless steel with only gentle extraction, it captures Syrah in its most vibrant form, offering plenty of pepper, violet and dark berry fruit. There is terrific freshness here alongside the variety's signature savoury spice, making this an easy-drinking but unmistakably Northern Rhône expression.

Domaine Talmard Mâcon Chardonnay 2024

STAGE 12 – Flat– Circuit Nevers Magny-Cours to Chalon-sur-Saône – 179.1 km

The Talmard family has been producing wine in the Mâconnais for several generations and has become one of Burgundy's great value specialists. Based in Uchizy, south of Mâcon, they focus exclusively on Chardonnay, producing wines that capture the generosity of the region while maintaining the freshness and minerality that make southern Burgundy such a happy hunting ground for lovers of the variety. It is a domaine that consistently delivers well above its modest appellation.

Drawn from vineyards planted on limestone and clay soils, this Mâcon Chardonnay is fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel before spending time on fine lees to build texture. There is no overt oak influence here just pure Chardonnay fruit supported by a creamy mid-palate and crisp mineral finish. Rich enough to satisfy, yet fresh enough to keep things lively, this remains one of the great bargains in French white wine.

Hugel Gentil 2023

STAGE 14 – Mountain – Mulhouse to Le Markstein Fellering– 155.3 km

Founded in 1639, Hugel is one of Alsace's most historic and influential family wineries. Now in its twelfth generation, the estate has helped shape the international reputation of Alsace through wines that combine precision, longevity and an unwavering respect for terroir. Their vineyards around Riquewihr are among the region's finest, while the Hugel name has become synonymous with quality throughout the world.

Gentil is one of Alsace's great white blends, combining the region's noble varieties into a wine that is far more than the sum of its parts. Each grape contributes something different—aromatics, texture, freshness or spice creating a wine of remarkable balance and versatility. Bright, mineral and effortlessly drinkable, it is one of those bottles that seems equally at home as an aperitif or alongside almost any meal.

Domaine de Chatillon Gamay 2024

STAGE 17 – Mountain – Chambery to Voiron – 174.7 km

Nestled in the foothills of the Alps, Domaine de Chatillon is one of Savoie's quiet achievers. Family-owned and deeply rooted in the region, the estate specialises in wines that reflect the mountain climate and limestone-rich soils that make this one of France's most distinctive yet underappreciated wine regions. Freshness, purity and drinkability are the hallmarks of everything they produce

Made entirely from Gamay grown in the cool Alpine climate, this is a wonderfully vibrant expression of the variety. Gentle extraction preserves bright red fruits, floral aromatics and lively acidity, while stainless steel maturation ensures the wine remains fresh and energetic. It is impossible not to smile while drinking this—light on its feet, bursting with charm and exceptional value.

Génépi Mont Blanc "La Verte" 375ml

STAGE 20 – Mountain – Le Bourg d'Oisans to Alpe d'Huez – 170.9 km

Brasserie du Mont Blanc sits high in the French Alps beneath Europe's tallest peak, where mountain water has long been the foundation of its brewing. Established in the early twentieth century and revived in the 1990s, the brewery has become renowned for producing distinctive Alpine beers inspired by the surrounding landscape and traditional mountain botanicals.

La Verte takes one of Mont Blanc's signature beers and infuses it with Génépi, the aromatic Alpine herb long associated with the mountains of Savoie. The result is unlike almost anything else bright, herbal and wonderfully refreshing, with subtle botanical complexity layered over crisp malt flavours. A fittingly quirky inclusion and the perfect companion to the Tour's toughest Alpine stages.

Veuve Laperrière Brut NV

STAGE 21 – Flat – Thoiry to Paris Champs-Élysées – 133 km

"Quality sparkling wine not to be missed - for anything" | Decanter Magazine
FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim  "A gorgeous wine... A fabulous alternative to Champagne."

Produced by the team behind Monmousseau in the Loire Valley, Veuve Laperrière has built a reputation for producing consistently excellent traditional method sparkling wines at remarkable prices. Drawing on generations of expertise in secondary fermentation and bottle ageing, the winery focuses on freshness, finesse and drinkability rather than flashy winemaking.

Unlike many Loire sparklings that lean heavily on Chenin Blanc, this cuvée is built around Chardonnay, lending elegance, fine citrus fruit and delicate minerality. Produced using the traditional method and matured on lees before disgorgement, it offers fine bubbles, freshness and plenty of charm. As the riders roll down the Champs-Élysées, there is only one way to celebrate another Tour completed—with something sparkling in the glass.
