Josetta Saffirio
The Josetta Saffirio winery has a long history, and their story begins in the early twentieth century, when Josetta’s father, Ernesto, began to cultivate his vineyard. For two centuries the family has worked and lived in the vineyards to let the territory tell its own story through their own wines. Sara, the current winemaker and daughter of Robert and Josetta, represents the fifth generation of farmers in Monforte d’Alba. Sara believes that wine is a life force, rich in micro-organisms that allow it to evolve-for this reason it is necessary to work the land with great responsibility for future generations. The vineyard is biologically farmed- pesticides, chemical insecticides and herbicides are not allowed.
