We are big Izway fans here at Prince. Conceived in France and born in the Barossa Brian Conway and Craig Isbel have started something pretty special. Joined by Craig's wife Kath they are producing modern styled Barossa favourites with a nod to the traditional bottlings produced in the Barossa.
This is a lighter and more filigree mouvedre and is all the better for it. The nose opens to that broody dark fruit laced with bitumen and smoked meats as well as a mineral spice and lift. Its medium bodied with fine firm tannins tamed by a sweet core of black fruits and framed by sweet baking spices.
