Saturday 3rd June - 12pm to 2pm
While the South Island's Central Otago and Marlborough often steal a lot of the limelight when it comes to New Zealand wine, some of the country's finest can be found in the North Island, an abundance of which lie just out of Napier in Hawkes Bay. This relatively large and diverse region produces a smorgasbord of great wines from Chardonnay and Bordeaux blends, to perfumed Syrah, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc that looks decidedly different to its southern counterparts. There are some world class terroirs here from the hillsides of Havelock North to the alluvial plains of Gimblett gravels that produce distinctive wines of character and class. Iconic estates like Craggy Range and Te Mata call the region home along with a bevy of high quality smaller producers like Bilancia, Tony Bish and many more. For many wine industry folk in particular, Hawkes Bay is one of, if not, THE most exciting wine region in New Zealand.
Join us on Saturday 3rd of June as we take a deep dive into Hawkes Bay and it's many vinous treasures. We have close to 20 wines on pour and entry is just $10 refundable on purchases of $100 or more.
