Grey Sands

Bob and Rita Richter began the establishment of Grey Sands in 1989, slowly increasing the plantings to the present total. The ultra-high density of 8900 vines per hectare reflects the experience gained by the Richters during a three-year stay in England, when they visited many vineyards across Europe, as well as Bobs graduate diploma from Roseworthy College. Plantings include pinot noir, merlot, pinot gris and malbec. JAMES HALLIDAY
