Made from 7 different clones, each made into a separate wine encompassing a range of different winemaking methods including whole berries, cold soaks, hand plunging and whole-bunch fermentation. Maturation in new and seasoned French and American barrels. Heathcote shiraz is rarely shy, certainly not when it's wearing nearly 15% alcohol. Having said that, it wears it well enough, occasionally straying into a touch of alcohol heat. Ripe and generous, it boasts wild black fruits, stewed plums, a world of cooking spices and violet.
