The 2022 Riesling Wiltinger Braune Kupp Auslese was made from almost fully botrytised fruit. The nose frames alluring tart red apple notes with hints of iron oxide and crushed oxalis leaves. The next sniff brings a full load of ripe, juicy, tart stone fruit. The palate is citrus-sweet, adding passionfruit and lemon tartness to yellow peach compote. It is rounded, almost gilded with sweetness, but always countered by that textural cooked peach and edged with lemon. (Sweet) ANNE KREBIEHL MW
… a noble-sweet wine made from botrytized fruit. It offers a delicately ripe and aromatic nose of candied pineapple, yellow peach, honeyed mirabelle, as well as exotic influences of passion fruit and mango. The wine has great presence and intensity on the impressively broad and complex palate. all this richness leaves an intense feel of dried exotic fruits in the very long and imposing finish.
