Domaine de la Poultiere
This dynamic family exploitation works in the respect of the vine and the grapes. Their winemaking is a subtle alliance between modernity and tradition. The PINON family exploits since three generations a family field of 22 hectares, located in the village of Vernou-sur-Brenne. They only produce still and sparkling Vouvray.
All wines from the estate are vinified and aged in the “tuffeau” cellar (the traditional Val de Loire white rocks). The soil is mainly Clay and Limestone. The age of the vines is between 25 and 30 years old and partly renewed every year. But the estate also has some plots of very old vines which produce a more complex wine. The yield is about 45hl/h for the still wines and 60hl/h for the sparkling. INTEGRITY WINES
