Domaine Barmes Buecher

The estate practices biodynamic agriculture and all the wines have a very obvious house style, with a signature of rich, ripe fruit and almost decadent flavours and aromas.  Many of the wines share an uncanny resemblance to the ones Laurence Faller used to make at Domaine Weinbach a few years ago, but these by Barmes-Buecher have a little less freshness and a little more ripeness and creaminess of texture.  The estate now comprises 16 hectares, divided into more than 70 different parcels (three grand crus) located over 9 different terroirs.  --Ian D'Agata
